Individual Motor Skills for SchoolsThe Motorvate Motor Skills Programme has been developed to address the specific motor skills difficulties of young people age 5-18.  The programme contains 22 different series of exercises with over 500 different progressions which allow youngsters to gradually build their confidence and skills through specific progressive exercises targetted at specific motor skill areas.  The exercises are designed to be simple and fun. The starting point will vary for individuals as will the rate at which they progress. It is designed to be flexible allowing appropriate intervention, unique to the individual and his or her needs.  The Programme is divided into key areas with Motor Planning embedded throughout

  • Ball Skills and Hand-Eye Co-ordination
  • Balance
  • Bilateral Integration
  • Fine Motor Skills

The Motorvate programme has had a significant impact on the development and learning of motor skills of hundreds of young people over the last few years.  It is an evolving programme and schools are able to add, adapt and develop it based on their own circumstances, resources and experience.

Most importantly the programme is measurable with all support materials included in the package.  Included in the cost are two hours of training to ensure staff have the confidence to take the programme forward.    Motorvate offer ongoing support and are available to revisit schools to help with specific parts of screening, running of the programe itself.

The Motorvate programme is now operating in Primary, Secondary and Special Schools in both the state and independent sectors.
